Should not be for sale on Amazon, terrible book.

This book(?) is one of the dangers of of allowing non edited books appear for sale as Kindle editions. I know that at $2.25, including taxes, this book is cheap, but it is a complete waste of time and money. Perhaps as a 6th grade or ESL class assignment it might pass muster, but not as a book for sale. The setting is not well set up. Why is the putative hero in Rome in the first place? There is never a believable narrative voice set up for what is sold as an adventure. Often you cannot tell who the narrator is, and In many situations things occur that just do not follow logically. Do not waste your money.

Well worth the read

This is an odd work. It is an exciting plot driven saga full of rich characters, exciting action, and exotic locales. But the writing is not fully fleshed. I had the feeling the writer was jotting down the idea for a full length novel to follow. If it ever happens, I'll be waiting to pay whatever the asking price is to delve more deeply. Even so, just skimming the surface of this wonderful story is a delight.

There is much to enjoy in this offshoot. The characters and plot fit very well with the parent scenario. Really an enjoyable read with good historical backround color...bring me more!
